Easy Knitting (Shawl Collar is Intermediate Knitting)
Easy enough to be made as a knitter’s first garment, this Simple Buttoned Vest has minimal shaping for maximum effect, and with chunky 14ply yarn and thick needles it’s super quick to knit up. Options are included for either simple Ribbed Edging or a Shawl Collar (for those up for a challenge), one feature button or a fully buttoned front, and contrast bands or all one colour to give you the choices to make this vest your own. The pattern is detailed and includes extra notes and video links to help the novice knitter. Use Peppin 14ply for a clean smooth look, or go for texture and extra coziness with one strand of 10ply held with two strands of fluff. A warm vest is just what you need to stay warm this winter – cast on today!

Tension
13sts and 19 rows to 10cm over Stocking Stitch. Check your tension for an accurate fit. Stitch tension is much more important than row tension in this garment.
