Easy Knitting
A vest is a great garment for in-between weather, keeping the body warm but the arms free for active playing. Henry is made in the traditional style, bottom up with separate pieces that are then sewn together. With so many great (machine-washable!) yarn options in 8ply, you’ll be knitting a whole wardrobe of vests for your young people! Henry has a sibling pattern, Harper, who is made entirely in one piece and is completely seamless with clever short-row shaping and a three-needle cast off. Georgie and Grace are their younger siblings, available in sizes prem-12m.

Sizes – 2y (4y, 6y, 8y, 10y, 12y)
to fit chest sizes 55 (60, 65, 70, 75, 80)cm
Garment sizes 60 (65, 70, 75, 80, 85)cm
Garment length 36 (40, 44, 48, 52, 56)cm

Yarn – Two colour version with contrasting bands:
MC – 3 (3, 4, 4, 5, 5) balls Adorn Silky Merino DK, or 
3 (3, 3, 4, 4, 5) balls Bellissimo 8ply, or 
3 (4, 4, 5, 6, 6) balls Cleckheaton Country 8ply /Country Naturals 8ply, or 
1 (1, 1, 1, 1, 2) skeins Fiori IV DK
AND  CC – 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) balls Adorn Silky Merino DK or Bellissimo 8ply, or 
1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 2) balls Cleckheaton Country 8ply /Country Naturals 8ply, or 
1 skein Fiori IV DK

Needles – 3.5mm and 4mm needles
Extras – 1 stitchmarker pin, 1 stitch-holder, wool needle for sewing ends

Tension – 22sts and 30 rows to 10cm over Stocking Stitch.
Check your tension for an accurate fit.
