Beginner Knitting
With such a soft and springy texture, this garter stitch blanket will be a delight to snuggle under, no matter how big or small you are! The smallest size is designed to make the most of just four balls of yarn: choose either a single colour or create your own palette. The larger sizes can be done with 2, 3, 4, or even 5 balls in a colour stripe for big bold block-colour choices. The blanket is knit in one piece with lovely thick 14ply yarn and large needles, so it knits up super-fast and you’ll be done in no time.
Sizes
Bassinette (Cot, Throw, Single Bed)
Approx 60x70cm (70x105cm, 110x155cm, 165x195cm)
Materials
Yarn – 4 (7, 16, 30) balls Fiddlesticks Peppin 14ply – choose to either use yarn all the same colour or different colours
Needles – 7mm circular needles, 60-100cm long
Extras – yarn needle for sewing in ends
Tension
13sts and 24rows to 10cm over Garter Stitch. Tension isn’t critical for this blanket, however looser tension will likely require more yarn and tighter tension will result in a smaller blanket.
