Easy enough to be made as a knitter’s first garment, this Simple Vest has minimal shaping for maximum effect, and with chunky 14ply yarn and thick needles it’s super quick to knit up. Two lengths are included, cropped and regular, for the fashionable and the warm. The pattern is detailed and includes extra notes to help the novice knitter. A throw over vest is just what you need to stay warm this winter – cast on today!

Materials 
Yarn - Cropped –  4 (4, 5, 5, 6){7, 7, 8, 8} balls Fiddlesticks Peppin 14ply, or 4 (4, 4, 5, 5){6, 6, 7, 8} balls Katia Ultralight Merino
Regular – 5 (6, 6, 7, 8,){8, 9, 10, 11} balls Fiddlesticks Peppin 14ply, or 5 (5, 6, 6, 7){8, 8, 9, 9} balls Katia Ultralight Merino
Needles – 6.5mm needles for Peppin or 7mm needles for Ultralight Merino
Extras – 2 stitch-holders, a tape measure, and wool needle for sewing seams and ends

Tension
13sts and 19 rows to 10cm over Stocking Stitch. Check your tension for an accurate fit. Stitch tension is much more important than row tension in this garment.
